Rose began her insurance career at Insurance Services Office (ISO) in 1980. She worked in various areas including commercial property actuarial and systems programming (seven years). Rose joined American International Group (AIG) in 1987 and worked as an underwriting systems' trainer and then managed the AIG systems help desk (eleven years). She then worked for Brown Brothers, Harriman and Company as the client liaison manager to provide systems services for various departments.

Since joining IRC in 1999, Rose has taken over the management of IRC staff and all workflow.

Rose completed three actuarial exams while at ISO. She graduated from SUNY Buffalo where she received a BS in Mathematics. Rose is married to the IRC president John Battles. Rose and John reside in Sarasota, FL and work in the IRC Florida office.
